NYS Apples find a new use - Core Vodka

As they say, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. However, for the Grout family, life provided not lemons, but lots of high quality New York State apples, so they did one better, they made vodka.

However, Core vodka is a different kind of vodka. While it can still satisfy the cocktail-crazed, it is beautifully smooth and can be sipped on its own without adulteration. In addition, it is well-balanced with just a hint of its apple origins on the nose and palate. Harvest Spirits, the Grout's distillery, also produces Applejack, a hard cider, along with both apple and pear brandies.

While the distillery is open every weekend for tours, downstate New Yorkers can find Harvest Spirits products at a number of wine and liquor stores throughout the area.
