Hendrick's Beer of the Week

ON DRAUGHT

Eel River Climax Noel

Fortuna, California    16oz         9%abv         $7

"Pours amber/deep orange with a light, beige head. Aroma was fruity, ripe with apricots and dates. Mellow tasting, notes of caramel, apple, apricot, grape, and wintery spices. At At the end, yeast flavors a   nice warm wine-like alcohol burn come through."

THE BOTTLE

Samichlaus (Brauerei Schloss Eggenberg)

Vorchdorf, Austria     12oz       14%abv         $21

"The once strongest beer in the world is back !  Brewed only once a year on December 6. Samichlaus is aged for 10 months before bottling. This beer is perhaps the rarest in the world. This is a very fortified beer with lots sweet fruits, tea leaves, yeast spices, berry fruit, oak, and liqueur."

Hebrew Jewbelation

San Francisco, California    22oz         11%abv         $12

"This  spicy Belgian style ale was given a "5 Star" rating by Celebrator Beer News, brewed with 11 malts, 11 hops, and soaring to 11% alcohol, Jewbelation is the most extreme Chanukah beer ever created."

Corsendonk Christmas Ale

Purnode-Yvoir, Belgium   750ml (serves at least 3)        8.5%abv         $22

"On the palate this silky smooth ale is predominantly malty, with smoky, spicy and citrusy notes, and a long, lingering finish that is lightly tart and malty."

Our 2nd favorite seasonal after Pumking.

A Little Sumpin' Sumpin' Ale (Lagunitas)

Petaluma, California    12oz         7.3%abv         $6

"Way smooth and silky with a nice wheaty-esque-ish-ness. Ingredients: Hops, Malt, Hops, Hops, Yeast, Hops, Water, and Hops.  Let's call it a hopped up wheat beer."
