| Joyner Returns To New York

|  Starting February 7, the syndicated Tom Joyner Show will be heard in New York once again, as the show returns to Emmis Urban AC WRKS "98.7 Kiss FM."The show previously had a run on Kiss from 2001 – 2003. More recently, Kiss has been running a show anchored by comedian D.L. Hughley, which ran into legal issues when Hughley, his one-time syndicator URBan Radio, and Emmis were having a dispute over who was responsible for paying the morning man. Now with Joyner, Emmis will have a morning team that includes appearances by Hughley as well as his former Kiss sidekick Jacque Reid, along with the usual Joyner cast of characters. The show will also have a local presence with long-time Kiss newsman Bob Slade handling on air duties from the New York studios.
