Halloween Parade and Pumpkin Sail


At the Charles A. Dana Discovery Center (inside the Park on 110th St between Fifth and Lenox Aves)

 

Frankenstein leads the Conservancy's annual Halloween ParadeSunday, October 24, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm (weather permitting; no rain date)

 

FREE! All ages.

 

As the event kicks off, enjoy spooky stories with actor and storyteller Dan Kitrosser, pumpkin crafts, and a pumpkin carving demonstration with professional food carver Hugh McMahon. Then walk alongside Frankenstein in the costume parade at 5:45 pm and watch New York City’s largest pumpkin flotilla drift by on the Meer at twilight. Bring your own 5- to 10-pound jack-o’-lantern by 5:30 pm to enter it into the pumpkin sail. More details on How to Participate in the Pumpkin Sail here.
